Their style comes from a fusion of Bret's background in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary Dance, Latin and Ballroom Dances, combined with Joëlle's expertise in Hip-Hop, Oriental Dance, Ragga, Salsa, and Afro-Caribbean Dances. Together, they have over 35 years of experience in dance and teaching. They are internationally involved in teaching, judging, performing, and developing West Coast Swing at festivals and are both in the All-Star division, although today most of their performances are requested as professional demonstrations or judges. They are also the organizers of the international event "Med in Swing" on the French Riviera. Bret & Joëlle are primarily recognized as coaches and train students of all levels, whether for leisure or competition, amateurs or professionals, from novice to All-Star. Their precise and effective teaching method is based on the idea of helping their students understand the techniques and mechanics used in West Coast Swing, while maintaining a fun and welcoming learning atmosphere. They continually train with the biggest names in WCSwing: their philosophy is that a teacher must remain a student throughout their career to stay abreast of the innovations and changes that the dance may encounter.
