This cozy workshop is a first at BWCS. We are offering a taste of other dance disciplines through our collaboration with other clubs. - An introduction to Tango (2 PM - 3:15 PM) - An introduction to Salsa (3:30 PM - 4:45 PM) - A West Coast Swing workshop on Safe Dips and Tricks (5 PM - 6:15 PM). Minimum level required: 2 years of WCS - And of course a WCS social (7PM to midnight), with LIVE MUSIC from 9 to 10 PM. THE TEACHERS: Salsa: Lukas and Sylvie have been teaching salsa for over 10 years. They run a dance school in Louvain-la-Neuve (Salsa Nova) and primarily teach salsa online, influenced by the New York jazz and mambo styles of the 1940s and 1950s. This is also the style of salsa that shares the most similarities with WCS! Come demystify any preconceptions you may have about salsa! Tango: Marisa has been bringing tango to Brussels for over 30 years. She runs her own tango school, La Tangueria. Gaëtan has been a dance teacher for about 20 years. WCS: Marie et Anna have been teaching WCS at BWCS for several years. They compete on the international scene and have trained with the best international instructors on both dancing and teaching WCS. They will be presenting some advanced patterns, like dips, in versions that are safe but still impactful.
